The dense fog, the calm and cold weather have conspired against us and we hanno costretto ad una semplice pagaiata lungo i canali della città e fino alla vicina Pellestrina.
La solita intraprendenza di Guglielmo ci ha fatto ritrovare in un bel gruppo numeroso, allegro e colorato: come sempre avviene in questi casi, i più curiosi ed intraprendenti hanno provato il Baidarka, rimanendo colpiti dalla sua stabilità anche in acqua piatta perchè la chiglia a V non infastidisce affatto chi ha già preso una buona dimestichezza con il kayak, anzi aumenta la sicurezza della navigazione.
L'unica foto di gruppo non poteva che essere scattata fuori dal solo ristorante open island Pellestrina: After a disappointing and risotto with generous helpings of 'chest pipe caparossoli in "mouth-watering, we all wondered if the salt have not made a account to pay even the wonderful chandeliers of Murano glass pendants .. .
But eating at a restaurant in dripping wet suit is one of those rare satisfaction that we can provide and the walk to kayak back to us a little help in sending down of the raw beans risotto, an accomplice of course the abundant supply of liquor never lacking in the typical local board equipment of the most experienced paddlers.
The return was cheered by gossip, photos, future plans and many, many, many laughs ... perhaps the effect of alcohol or incipient darkness, who has also made it easy and playful in the channel without landing pier, very well be replaced as necessary by a small boat moored there, much of the shabby S. Nicholas II, with the delicacy of its decoration imposed on us all to keep the right distance!
the evening we held "light" in pizzeria, after the arrival in town of a friend special, the famous and unique "Papele 'or marenaro" on a railcar that old style made its appearance in the master station ... the next morning before continuing to paddle could not resist the temptation of a second and third breakfast in a nearby cafe, knowing that soon we would have disposed of the extra calories with a healthy paddling a couple of hours!
We also met Duska, but the slowness induced by cold and persistent fog did not immediately find the navigation channel to reach the base of the boat so we Canoe Club Chioggia lost the second round with the "Red" cutest North-East ... on the other hand, we still lost between channels, fishing boats, mooring posts and seagulls!
The return to the school of William could not be better: in addition to biscuits Francesca, now gone to the incredible greed of the onlookers, a cabaret of "chatter" has graced the 'Our last chat!

The meeting was intended (and organized) per un confronto sulle diverse tecniche di recuperi e salvataggi ma non è stato difficile per nessuno dei partecipanti rimandare il tutto ad altra data, sperando nel clima più clemente e nelle temperature più miti... perchè mica vorremmo sempre e solo pagaiare, mangiare e bere, vero?!?
